After being berated my doctor, knowing about some crappy family medical history, and being in my mid 30s, I decided to get back on the wagon of exercise and eating healthy.
I figured I’d use my tumblr as a way to motivate myself and hold myself accountable. I’m started the journey at 249 lbs. My doctor wants me to get down to 160. I’m not sure that is attainable, or even desirable, but I think maybe 175 is a good number to shoot for.
In addition to seeing that number, I have a couple more goals for loosing weight and getting healthy. The first goal is to be able to go off certain medications due to my previous bad habits. The second goal is to have my waist and my inseam measurements match. The third and final goal is to have this turn into something that sticks and it will be the final battle of the bulge that I will have to fight a major offensive against.
I hope to update the blog with these posts on a monthly basis. So I hope you, my friends, will follow me on my journey.
Month 1 Numbers
Chest and Shoulders: -2.5 in
Waist: -3.5 in
Arms: L +1.5 in, R + 0.5 in (at the start, the left arm was smaller than the right)
Body Fat Percentage: 30.9% (-2.5% from the start)
Weight: 235 lbs (-14 lbs from the start)
This is me after month 1 of working out and eating better.
